Bound state in a quantum waveguide - 1

Here we see two parallel straight quantum waveguides with a window in the common boundary. The walls of the wavegudes (the horizontal white lines) are realized by Dirichlet boundary conditions. This setup supports three bound states. Here we see a superposition of the ground state and the second excited state.

The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions are found numerically by the mode-matching method described in the paper cited below.
